how do you use Levelty to teach kids to value hard work through positive reinforcement?

I’ve been hearing about this app called Levelty that’s supposed to help with teaching kids good habits. Has anyone used it to encourage their kids to work hard? I’m curious how the positive reinforcement part works and if it’s actually effective. Any tips or experiences would be really helpful!

We’ve been using Levelty for a few months with our 11-year-old. It’s definitely made chores less of a battle. The app turns tasks into mini-games, which my kid finds pretty fun. They especially like the avatar customization rewards.

I’ve noticed my child taking more initiative with responsibilities lately. It’s not perfect, but there’s progress. We’re still experimenting to find the right balance of rewards and expectations.

Anyone else notice changes in their kids’ attitudes towards chores after using the app for a while?

We’ve been using Levelty with our kids for a couple months now. It’s been pretty cool to see how they respond to the reward system. My 10-year-old loves earning points for finishing homework, while my 7-year-old gets excited about unlocking new avatar outfits.

I’ve noticed they’re starting to take more initiative with their chores and schoolwork. It’s not perfect every day, but overall there’s been good progress. We try to keep things fresh by changing up the rewards sometimes.

One thing that’s worked well is letting the kids help choose some of the tasks and rewards. It gives them a sense of ownership. We’re still learning as we go, but so far it’s been a positive experience for our family.

Levelty has been helpful with my kids. The 9-year-old loves earning points for chores. My 12-year-old wasn’t as into it at first but got more engaged when we let her choose some tasks.

It’s made mornings smoother - less nagging about getting ready for school. We adjust rewards occasionally to keep things interesting.

We’ve been using Levelty in our house for about six months now. I was skeptical at first, but it’s actually helped quite a bit with our 14-year-old. The coin system really clicked with him, and he started doing chores without us nagging.

Our 17-year-old took a little longer to get on board. She wasn’t into the ‘game’ aspect as much, but she liked being able to save up for bigger rewards. We let her choose some of her own tasks and rewards, which made a big difference.

One thing I’ve noticed is that the novelty does wear off a bit over time. We try to switch things up every now and then to keep it interesting. Sometimes we’ll have family challenges or change the reward options. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s definitely made things easier in our house. :house_with_garden:

How are your kids responding to it so far?

I’ve been trying out Levelty with my 5-year-old for a few weeks now. It’s been interesting to see how they react to the rewards system. Some days they’re really into it, other days not so much. I’m still figuring out what works best.

I’m curious about the long-term effects though. Do kids keep up their good habits once the novelty wears off? Or do they start expecting rewards for everything?

What’s worked well for other parents here? Any tricks to keep it fresh and exciting for the kids?
