I’ve been thinking about using a chore app for my kids, like Levelty. Has anyone tried these? I’m curious about the good effects they might have. Do kids actually get more done? Learn responsibility? Any insights from parents who’ve used them would be great.
I’ve been using a chore app with my teens for a while now. It’s been pretty good overall. The kids seem to like seeing their progress, and it’s cut down on me having to remind them all the time.
One unexpected benefit was how it helped my older one with time management. She started planning her day better to fit in chores around homework and activities. My younger one got really into the rewards part. He even started suggesting extra chores to earn more points!
It’s not perfect though. We had to adjust things a few times to find what worked for us. And there were days when the novelty wore off and I had to encourage them to keep using it. But in general, it’s made chores less of a battle in our house. 
My kids started using Levelty a few months ago. They’re more organized now and actually remember their chores without nagging.
It’s also helped them understand how chores fit into our daily routine. They seem to feel more part of the household.
