I recently heard about this app called Levelty that’s supposed to help with encouraging kids. I’m wondering if anyone has experience using it to build resilience in their children? Looking for tips on how to make the most of it or if it’s even worth trying. My kids could use a boost in the resilience department and I’m open to new approaches. Thanks!
We’ve been using Levelty for a few weeks now. It’s been helpful for my kids, especially with daily tasks.
My daughter was struggling to keep her room tidy. We set up a challenge in the app. She earns points for putting away toys and making her bed.
At first, she needed reminders. But now she’s excited to check off tasks and see her points go up. She even asked to add more challenges!
My son’s using it for homework. He sets goals for how long he’ll study. The app helps him stay focused.
It’s not perfect, but it’s getting them to try harder. They’re less likely to give up when things are tough. And they seem proud when they complete challenges.
I think the key is finding the right balance of challenges and rewards for each kid.
I used Levelty for a bit with my teenagers. It helped, but wasn’t a magic fix. The app made chores more visible and rewarding, which cut down on nagging.
My kids liked picking their own rewards, and seeing progress motivated them. It was cool to watch them tackle bigger tasks over time.
But real resilience came from letting them struggle sometimes. When they got stuck, I’d ask what they’d tried already instead of jumping in to help. They started coming up with their own solutions more.
The app was a good starting point, but the conversations it sparked about effort and problem-solving were the real win. Every family’s different though. It might be worth trying and seeing how your kids respond to it.
We started using Levelty a couple months ago. My kid was skeptical at first, but now she’s really into it.
The other day, she struggled with a tricky homework problem. Instead of giving up, she kept at it, determined to earn those points.
It’s not just about the rewards though. She’s starting to take more initiative with chores and seems proud when she completes tasks on her own.
I’m curious how others are using it. Have you found certain types of challenges work better than others?
Got Levelty a few months back. My kids like the challenges and rewards.
They’re trying new things more often now. Not as quick to give up either.
Still early, but it’s been good so far.
I’ve been curious about Levelty too. My child, who is five, gets frustrated easily with new tasks.
I’ve tried different strategies. Sometimes we turn clean-up into a race, and other times I offer a small treat.
But I’m not sure if that builds real resilience. Do your kids stick with tasks even without the app rewards?
Maybe Levelty could help us be more consistent. What features do you find most useful for encouraging persistence?
